FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS


SUPeR is MPB’s Suppliers e-Registry, and it is a centralised online registration capability for all existing and new suppliers to MPB and its group of companies. It aims to ensure that registered suppliers have met MPB’s pre-qualification criteria.

SUPeR aims to improve the analytical and automation processes across MPB’s procurement value chain.
SUPeR also allows MPB to centrally manage a wider pool of approved suppliers and evaluate their performances every time a purchase cycle is completed.
All documents submitted to MPB during the registration process will be kept with the strictest confidentiality.
Suppliers who want to conduct and/or continue conducting business with MPB need to be successfully registered via SUPeR. The successful registration is effective upon receipt by the suppliers of an email notifying the same.
Applicants have to have secure Internet access for the registration application. MPB does not provide Internet access or facility for applicants to conduct the registration process at MPB’s head office or elsewhere.

STEP 1: Go to https://suppliers.mediaprima.com.my/


STEP 2: Read through and understand the following:


  1. Guidelines ; and
  2. Terms of Use

STEP 3: Read through SUPeR’s list of Purchasing Categories before completing the online registration. Please select only products and/or services that your company / organisation can and has the capability to supply to MPB


STEP 4: Click ‘First-Time Register’. Read through and accept BOTH documents:

  1. MPB’s Personal Data Protection Notice ; AND
  2. MPB’s Suppliers’ Code of Conduct
BEFORE applicants can continue with the registration application


STEP 5: Applicants have to fill in all the relevant fields in the online registration form


STEP 6: When applicants have successfully completed the online registration form and click ‘Submit’, an automated ‘Thank You’ note will be generated. The note will have links to the following:

  1. the accepted MPB’s Suppliers’ Code of Conduct;
  2. the completed registration form
(Both forms are collectively referred to as “the hard copy form”)

The hard copy forms have to be printed, signed and stamped accordingly


STEP 7: Submit the hard copy forms, together with the required documents (as listed in Section 4 of SUPeR’s Guidelines ), to MPB’s head office within five (5) working days after the submission date of the completed online form.


No. The registration via SUPeR is free.
Appoint an authorised representative of your company / organisation to conduct the registration application. The authorised personnel must be at least a manager in your company / organisation. He or she must have access to all necessary company / organisation information, the required documents (as per listed in Section 4 of SUPeR’s Guidelines), and the relevant certificates.
The registration process via SUPeR is the same for all suppliers. However, the requirements for registration differ depending on the nature of companies (such as Sdn Bhd, hotel’s holding / parent company, sole proprietorship / partnership or foreign company), individual supplier or Malaysian statutory bodies. There may be documents and/or certifications that are applicable to some while not applicable to others. Please refer to Section 4 of SUPeR’s Guidelines.
No. Applicants have to appoint an authorised representative from among your company’s / organisation’s staff to conduct the registration application. The authorised personnel must be at least a manager in your company / organisation.
Yes. MPB encourages registering suppliers to register products and/or services that the suppliers can and have the capability to supply to MPB and its group of companies.

Refer to SUPeR’s Purchasing Categories list for details of the code and description of products and/or services that can be supplied to MPB.
Yes, as MPB is now streamlining its supplier registration process and methodology to ensure that all registered suppliers have meet MPB’s pre-qualification criteria.

The registration is also for all suppliers to provide the most accurate and up-to-date information to MPB.
Yes. The registration is for all suppliers who supply products, services or both, who want to conduct and/or continue to conduct business with MPB.
No. The registration process is compulsory for all suppliers who want to do business with MPB.
There may be several reasons:
  1. The web browser used by the supplier to access SUPeR has not been updated to the latest version; or

  2. The supplier may have keyed in the wrong email, password, or business registration number.

The processing of a registration application may take up to 30 working days upon the receipt by MPB staff of COMPLETE hard copy forms (please refer to Q3 for definition of the hard copy forms) and the required documents (as listed in Section 4 of SUPeR’s Guidelines) at MPB’s head office.
All the information and required documents will go through a pre-qualification evaluation process. Once approved, or rejected, the suppliers will be notified accordingly via email.
No. A successful registration does not guarantee an automatic invitation to participate in any of MPB’s quotations or tender exercises. It also does not guarantee an automatic issuance of any purchase orders or contracts from MPB. The selection of suppliers is based on the purchasing needs / requirements of MPB.
You will be notified via email on the result of your registration application
There is no expiry for successful registration. However, a successful registration in SUPeR may be suspended and/or terminated without notice or assigning any reasons, in accordance to MPB’s Suppliers’ Code of Conduct and the Guidelines for Supplier Registration Application
Yes, suppliers are encouraged to update their company information when changes occur. Suppliers have to click ‘Login’ at SUPeR’s site using the registered email address and password. Suppliers can make the changes themselves via SUPeR by clicking the “Edit” button at the relevant sections.

After editing, suppliers have to print the changed online details. Submit them together with certified documents to support the changes to MPB’s head office within five (5) working days after the changes are made online.

Unless and until the changed forms and certified supporting documents are received by MPB personnel, the changes made online will not be approved and reflected in SUPeR.
Yes. MPB will assess a supplier’s performance based on certain criteria which include:
  • on-time delivery
  • products/services delivered meet the requested specifications/requirements; and
  • responsiveness


In the assessment, the supplier is evaluated based on ratings on a scale of 1 to 5 (poor to outstanding) every time a purchase cycle is completed.
MPB reserves the right to suspend or terminate any application for registration and/or registration in SUPeR without notice or assigning any reasons, in accordance to MPB’s Suppliers’ Code of Conduct and the Guidelines for Supplier Registration Application.
